Some People

Some people are thoughtful and kind, it’s just their nature. I’ve experienced a lot in many different ways during my lifetime, but especially over the last two years.

Tonight I was ‘out on the …… with the lads’. To call a couple of sexagenarians ‘lads’ is maybe stretching the description a little, but we all like to think we’re younger than our age, and outward appearance would suggest.

The ‘lads’ on this occasion were Ray and Ken of ‘Western Front Way’ fame, our trip back in late July and early August was such a resounding success that I am presently planning next year’s Picos de Europa trip.

We meet every couple of weeks to chew the fat about all things motorcycling, and I bore them with crazy ideas about where I dream of heading next. As I walked into the bar to collect my pint from Ken I glanced at his motorcycle themed T shirt, I didn’t take it in until we all sat down at the table and I saw Ray was wearing the same. I was taken aback when Ken produced one for me!
