Time’s cracking on and I’m up early in the morning so just a quick update.
The many tunnels south of the Arctic Circle visitor centre at least gave us some respite from the persistent rain being being thrown upon us. Yes ‘us’, because now I have acquired a riding buddy, or to be more precise he acquired me.
As I returned to the bike at the Arctic Circle visitor centre the bike next to mine was a……BMW GS, the rider of which engaged me in conversation. Jacob, my Danish counterpart, was also heading south, but unsure whether to head home via Sweden due to the awful weather forecast for Norway. For reasons best known to himself he decided to tag along with me for the next two hours to Mosjøen, where I was booked into a hotel. To cut a short story even shorter, he stayed in the same town, we had a couple of beers and dinner together and decided to ride again tomorrow to Trondheim.
If you are passing near Trondheim there is a village there called Hell. It has a tunnel near by, great photo opportunity.
🤗👍🏼
So Jacob rides a GS? Clearly a chap of impeccable taste 😁. Good that you have company 👍
🤦🏻♂️🙄😆
Great for you to have some company – I wondered if it was going to be the ‘Dutch Ciach lady’ 😂😂. Weather a bit yuk though ⛈x
🤔😆x
That weather could almost be mistaken for Cumbria 😁
😆
Pleased your still smiling after all that 🌧 rain,Rudolph 🍱 and 🍺 beer
Does Sven like reindeer? Conspicuous by his absence?
Or was he not invited on date night 🫣😂🤣
😆 Sven is staying in the pannier until it’s dry and sunny, which may not happen again! He’s strictly vegan and I haven’t broken it to him that I ate his cousin in a burger, think it’s best he doesn’t know!
I was also going to say that Sven must be nervous now he’s seen the menu. I’m surprised you didn’t go for the rather delicious sounding whale stew! 😂😂 You’ve met up with lots of different people along your journey adding to the enjoyment and interest 😊 xx
😆🤗xx
Pity about the weather but it’s nice to have a travelling companion.
Wonder what the reindeer sausage like?!
